Roadside personnel especially on highway such as road repair workers and vehicle breakdown assist personnel are exposed to danger of oncoming vehicles that may not aware of them. Although there are light signals installed on the roadside or large light signal the personnels vehicle are used, the personnel itself has little or no warning in case of collision happened. When an oncoming vehicle accidentally divert into the emergency lane or repair lane due to microsleep or other reasons, the personnel may not have enough time to react to get to safety. According to the present invention there is roadside safety system (1) for roadside personnel (2) comprising a detection device (3) having at least a sensor (4), a controller (5) and a transmitter (6); a sound alarm (7) and a light alarm (8) connected to said detection device (3); characterized in that at least a wearable alert device (9) receiving a signal from said transmitter (6); said wearable alert device (9) is an arm band; and said wearable alert device (9) having a vibrating device.
