Abstract
The invention provides a polyester film for release film having a film width of 400 mm or more and having a s value (sMD) of 0.15 m or less wherein sMD is the variation in thickness that is continuously measured over a length of 10,000 m in the films machine direction relative to the average. Provided is a biaxially oriented polyester film for release film that ensures reduced rigidity of the support during the molding of a green sheet and reduced strain during electrode printing and is optimized to meet the coating properties of the ceramic slurry during the molding of a thin green sheet.
