Abstract

The present invention discloses a system and method for transporting palm fruit bunches (1) through a sterilization process, wherein the system comprises: a feeding area having a feed conveyor (10) arranged at a predetermined height for feeding the palm fruit bunches (1) into at least one movable cage (40) which is disposed below the feed conveyor (10); a sterilization area having one or more horizontal sterilization vessels (50) where the movable cage (40) can enter thereinto for sterilizing the palm fruit bunches (1); and an unloading area having a space (70) for collecting sterilized palm fruit bunches (1), characterized in that the unloading area further comprises a tipping platform (60) to which the movable cage (40) is secured thereon, being configured to pivot the movable cage (40) to a predetermined angle such that the sterilized palm fruit bunches (1) are discharged from one end of the movable cage (40) into the space (70).
