Abstract

To provide an additive for a hydraulic composition and a hydraulic composition capable of reducing bleeding while retaining dispersibility, slump retention and separation resistance of the hydraulic composition. An additive for a hydraulic composition containing a copolymer (A) having a structure derived from a vinyl monomer containing a constitutional unit (1) and a constitutional unit (2) and having a structure derived from a hydrophobic chain transfer agent containing a sulfur atom and having a mass average molecular weight of 100000 or more and 2000000 or less in terms of polyethylene glycol measured by gel permeation chromatography.
