Abstract

An aqueous ophthalmic composition comprising diquafosol or a salt thereof and polyvinylpyrrolidone. An aqueous ophthalmic composition for prevention or treatment of dry eye, comprising diquafosol sodium at a concentration of 3% (w/v), polyvinylpyrrolidone having a K value of 90, and silver nitrate, wherein the aqueous ophthalmic composition is used so as to be instilled into the eye 2 to 4 times a day in a dose of 1 or 2 drops each time. An aqueous ophthalmic composition for prevention or treatment of dry eye, comprising diquafosol sodium at a concentration of 3% (w/v), polyvinylpyrrolidone, and silver nitrate, the aqueous ophthalmic composition being used so as to be instilled into the eye 2 to 4 times a day in a dose of 1 or 2 drops each time, wherein the aqueous ophthalmic composition has a viscosity at 25C of 3 to 30 mPas.
