En fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av lukket-cellede polymerskumsjikt, er kjennetegnet ved at man fremstiller en utbredbar- henholdsvis utstrykbar emulsjon av en oppløsning med et eller flere organiske oppløsningsmiddel(er) som koherent ytre fase A og en for flyktiggjørende væske som dispers indre fase B, idet oppløsningsmidlet eller oppløsningsmiddelblandingen i fase A har en høyere flyktighet enn væsken i fase B.
