Abstract

En fremgangsmåte og apparatur for frigjøring av gass fra gasshydrater omfattende anvendelsen av en innretning, tilveiebrakt nabostilt til eller i bulk gasshydratene (12) for eksponering av gasshydratene mot varme fra en gass eller væske (fortrinnsvis damp) er beskrevet. Gasshydratene kan eksponeres direkte mot gassen eller væsken eller eksponeres indirekte gjennom en termisk ledende spole eller kanal (16). Varmen fra væsken eller gassen dissosierer gasshydratene i den tilsvarende gasskomponenten og vann. Etter frigjøring kan gasskomponent- en samles for ytterligere lagring, transport eller anvendelse. Apparaturen omfatter videre en mekanisme (32) for å bevege minst en del av gassen eller væsken gjen- nom innretningen for eksponering av gasshydratene mot varme.
