Abstract

The present invention relates to a cover construction, such as e.g. a weather protection device for building sites or the like, comprising a number of beam members (5, 6) and connecting pieces (7, 8, 9) arranged to be assembled into a number of frame bows formed by upright lateral beam members (5) and roof beam members (6) inter-connected therewith, the lower ends of said lateral beam members being supported on a supporting surface (14, 17), the frame bows (2) being retained in spaced-apart relationship by means of spacer poles (3, 4) and the construction is arranged to support covering means, such as e.g. a flexible cloth. According to the invention, the lateral beam members (5) and the roof beam members (6) consist of hollow profile sections, wherein the transition between these two types of beam members is formed by a joint (7) having mutually hingedly interconnected legs (7a, 7b) arranged to be coupled to the lateral beam member and to the roof beam member, respectively, and wherein a locking strut (12) extends between attachment fittings (13) located at points on either side of and spaced from said joint on beam members coupled together by said joint, said strut maintaining the desired angle of articulation.
