Abstract

The invention relates to a device, preferably a circuit-breaker, for mounting on a top-hat rail, comprising a housing, one side of which is configured as a mounting section. A locking bar is provided in the mounting section, said locking bar being fitted on the housing in such a way that it slides and having a projection which extends in the direction of sliding in order to tightly clamp the circuit-breaker on the top-hat rail. A strap-shaped clamp element also provided in the mounting section is fixed on the housing in such a way that when the locking bar moves into a latching or clamping position, the clamp element is at least partially gripped from underneath and is hereby moved into a position in which it clamps the top-hat rail tight.
