Abstract

Det er tilveiebrakt en apparatur og en fremgangsmåte som gjør det mulig foret luftmodifiserende middel, så som et insekticid, pesticid, insektfrastøtende middel, duftstoff, parfyme osv. å spres inn i en atmosfære. Det luftmodifiserende middelet er innesluttet i en antennelig flytende bærer (2) som er mindre flyktig enn midellet, som inneholdes i en beholder (1). En veke (3) trekker middelet/bæreren (2) opp til en antenningsstasjon tilveiebrakt ved kanten (5) av en metallkrage (4) som tett omslutter veken (3). Kragen (4) er utstyrt med et par av diametralt mot- stående avlange spalter (8) som eksponerer en del av veken (3) mot atmosfæren og derved tilveiebringer en fordampningsstasjon i avstand under antennings- stasjonen og anbrakt i veien til den antennelige flytende bæreren. Ved bruk passerer varme fra en flamme (6) langs kragen (4) og varmeveken (3) i fordamp- ningsstasjonen, og assisterer derved den foretrukne fordampningen av det luft- modifiserende middelet fra fordampningsstasjonen, bort fra den antennelige flytende bæreren før sistnevntes forbrenning i flammen (6). En skråttstilt av- bøyende plate (10) er også tilveiebrakt for å avbøye det fordampede luftmodifi- serende middelet bort fra flammen (pil A).
