Abstract

Den foreliggende oppfinnelse kombinerer fordelene med OFDD med frekvensoppdelt dupleks (FDD), og muliggjør dermed at rekkevidden for et VDSL-transmisjonssystem kan utvides. Den foreliggende oppfinnelse krever anvendelse av et ekstra syklisk prefiks, og at for lengre linjer så anvendes ikke frekvensene over FDD-båndet, med andre ord betyr dette at tidssynkroniseringen utføres mellom alle sendere i ONUer og NTer, tidsprogresjon beregnes fra linjelengden, og for- skjellige sub-bærere anvendes i oppstrøms- og nedstrøms retninger.
