Abstract
Oppfinnelsesidéen er å sende flere signaler i samme celle på én kanal, og å påføre forskjellige radiofrekvenskarakteristikker på de signaler som mot-tas på samme kanal. De forskjellige signalkarakteristikker blir for eksempel til-veiebrakt ved å modulere signalene på forskjellige måter, eller ved å sende signalene fra forskjellige punkter slik at de forskjellige signaler vil oppleve forskjellige radiokanaler. På grunn av de forskjellige karakteristikker kan signalene skjelnes fra hverandre ved hjelp av en fellesdeteksjons-, interferenskan-sellerings-metode. I utgående retning fra basestasjonen til mobilstasjonen, og i inngående retning fra mobilstasjonen til basestasjonen, er det ofte fordelaktig å bruke forskjellige metoder.
