Abstract

Det er beskrevet en slitasjeresistent gjødningsmiddelpinnesammen- setning, som viser en mekanisk styrke som tillater pinnen å hamres uunder- støttet inn i jorden uten å lide skade, for å tilveiebringe en effektiv kilde for plantenæringsmidler med langsom frigivelse til jorden. Sammensetningen omfatter mellom 93 og 98% av partikkelformig plantenæringsmiddelforbindel- ser inneholdende et fosfation kjemisk kombinert med et toverdig kation og et enverdig kation, innbefattende forbindelsene magnesiumammoniumfosfat og magnesiumkaliumfosfat. Sammensetningen omfatter et belegg på mellom 2 og 7% av termoplastisk adhesiv med en mykningstemperatur mellom 65 og 160°C på partiklene. De belagte partiklene formes til en slitasje-og knuse- resistent pinneform, egnet for hamring inn i jorden, ved pressing i en form ved en temperatur høyere enn mykningstempteraturen for det termoplastiske ad- hesivet og deretter avkjøling til en temperatur lavere enn mykningstemper- aturen. Det er videre beskrevet en fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av disse forbedrede pinnene, l fremgangsmåten påføres det termoplastiske adhesivet som en vandig dispersjon eller emulsjon sammen med et formsmøremiddel før pressing av de belagte partiklene til en pinne som viser en høy grad av fysisk integritet.
