Abstract

Foreliggende oppfinnelse vedrører en elektronisk propellkontroller til bruk i modellfly. Motorens forgasserposisjon styres fortrinnsvis av operatøren, mens propellens angrepsvinkel styres av propellkontrolleren. Det er dog mulighet for automatisk justenng av forgasserposisjon av kontrollerenheten, selv om dette fortinnsvis vil bli utført manuelt før eller under flygning av operatørea Flyets hastighet er gitt av propellens skyvekraft og flyets aerodynamiske egenskaper. Propellens skyvekraft vil bli justert som følge av at forgasserposisjonen økes eller minskes. Dette medfører at propellangrepsvinkelen automatisk! økes eller minskes for å justere det forhåndsinnstilte motorturtall. Med modellfly skal forstås radiostyrte eller selvstyrte, ubemannede, ikke fullskala fly. Et mål med foreliggende oppfinnelse er å tilveiebringe en konstant turtall propellkontroller for bruk i modellfly som tillater anvendelse av fullskala propell og at modellmotoren samtidig kan operere på maksimal virkningsgrad uavhengig av flyets hastighet. Et annet mål med foreliggende oppfinnelse er å tilveiebringe en konstant turtall propellkontroller med en slik størrelse og vekt at den er praktisk anvendbar i et modellfly. Ytterligere et mål med foreliggende oppfinnelse er å tilveiebringe en konstant turtall propellkontroller som er vesentlig rimeligere i pris enn omtalt teknikk.
