Abstract

En billeddannende flerlagsanordning for tredimensjonal billedfremvisning har flere to- dimensjonale lag (Ls) lagt oppå hverandre i den tredje retning. Hvert av lagene har to hovedoverflater og i det minste en omkretskant. Lagene er fremstilt av et material valgt fra en gruppe bestående av ikke-konvensjonelle, flytende krystallmaterialer uten polari- sator og som omfatter polymerdispergerte flytende krystaller (PDLC) og derivater og kombinasjoner av disse, slik at når minst ett av lagene utsettes for belysning, tillates overføring av lys med minimale tap, hvilket gjør det mulig å utnytte et maksimalt antall lag for å danne bilder for tredimensjonal fremvisning.
