Abstract
Foreliggende oppfinnelse beskriver vandige metoder for å øke de sure stedene på katalysatorer for katalytisk fluidkrakking (FCC). Metodene omfatter trinnene med å bringe en FCC-katalysator, enten brukt eller frisk, i kontakt med en vandig løsning omfattende vann, og en kilde til både fosfor og aluminium. Løs- ningen inkluderer eventuelt svovelsyrling eller svovelsyre. Fosforet tilveiebringes fra fosforsyre, fosforsyrling eller ammoniumdihydrogenfosfat. Alulminiumet tilveie- brings fra en aluminiumkilde valgt fra gruppen som består av aluminatrihydrater og aluminiumoksyd. Kloridforurensning av aluminiumkilden bør være minimal, fortrinnsvis mindre enn ca. 1 000 ppm klorid, mer foretrukket mindre enn ca. 200 ppm klorid. Den vandige løsningens pH-verdi reguleres til ca. 3-12 ved tilsetning av en tilstrekkelig mengde av en vandig ammoniumløsning. FCC-katalysatoren settes til denne løsningen, fortrinnsvis under omrøring, i et vektforhold på ca. 1 del katalysator til ca. 1-10 deler vann for å fremstille en vandig oppslemming. Ved stabilisering av pH-verdien til den vandige oppslemmingen oppnås en økning av de sure stedene på katalysatoren, og katalysatoren kan skilles fra oppslemmingen og, om ønsket, vaskes. Denne enkle, vandige fremgangsmåten reduserer nivået av mange rnetallforgiftninger, inkludert nikkel og vanadium, på FCC-katalysatoren og gir en katalysator med et forhøyet antall sure reaksjonssteder.
