Abstract
I en fremgangsmåte for tilvirkning av kompositt-treprodukter med en markedsklar ferdig overflate, blir en matte utformet av trefibre behandlet med et bindemiddel. Matten blir lastet inn i et presshulrom utformet mellom to pressplater. Den første pressplaten er en konvensjonell varmpressplate fri for porter. Den konvensjonelle pressplaten kan være glatt eller mønstret til å prege den ferdige overflaten på produktet. Den andre pressplaten har dampinjeksjonsporter. Presshulrommet er i stand til å bli forseglet. Matten blir fullstendig konsolidert. Varme ledet fra den første pressplaten til en første side av matten fordamper fuktighet i en del av tykkelsen av matten nærmest den første siden som får fuktigheten til å ekspandere stort i volum. Det ekspanderte volumet blir ventilert gjennom en motsatt side av matten til å tvinge innestengt luft ut av matten. Dampekspansjonen blir ventilert fra matten gjennom dampinjeksjonsportene, og bærer med seg innestengt luft og fuktighet. Etter utspying av den innestengte luften blir presshulrommet forseglet, og en dampmengde fra en ytre kilde blir injijsert ved hjelp av dampinjeksjonsportene til matten ved tilstrekkelig trykk og i en tilstrekkelig tidsperiode til å herde bindemidlet. Dampmengden fra den ytre kilden blir ventilert fra matten gjennom dampinjeksjonsportene før forseglingen av presshulrommet blir opphevet.
