Abstract
Grøfteenhet som anvendes for å grave grøfter på sjøbunnen for legging av rørledninger eller kabler. Enheten omfatter en strålearm med et antall seksjoner, hvor hver seksjon omfatter minst et munnstykke, midler for å tilføre fluid til munnstykkene i minst to^ seksjoner, og midler for separat å kontrollere strømningskarakteristikk til fluid som tilføres til hver individuelle seksjon av strålearmen. To eller flere enheter av slike apparater kan anvendes i tandem for å utvide fluidiseringsperioden av et bestemt område av sjøbunnen. Dette er særlig nyttig når rørene eller kablene er relativt stive. Fluidiseringsperioden er avhengig av avstanden mellom enhetene, og beregnes som en funksjon av karakteristikken til sjøbunnen og kapasiteten til de individuelle enhetene. Avstanden mellom enhetene bestemmes av lengden til en regulerbar leddforbindelse.
