Abstract

En fremgangsmåte for fremstillingen av en katalysator an- vendbar for å utføre karbonmonoksidhydrogerieringsreaksjo- ner, spesielt Fischer-Tropsch-reaksjoner. Trinnene i pro- sessen begynner med aktiveringen eller reaktiveringen av en deaktivert katalysator eller med fremstillingen og aktive- ringen av en fersk katalysator. Ifølge sistnevnte omfatter trinnene i fremgangsmåten først å kontakte i et eller flere trinn en pulver eller pre-formet partikulær ildfast uorga- nisk bærer med en væske eller en oppløsning i hvilken det er dispergert eller oppløst en forbindelse eller et salt av et katalytisk aktivt metall eller metaller for å impregnere og avsette metallet eller metallene på bæreren eller pulve- ret. Bæreren impregnert med metall eller metaller blir kal- sinert etter hvert impregneringstrinn for å danne oksider av det avsatte metall eller metaller. Det kalsinerte kata- lysatorforstadiet blir deretter behandlet med en oppløsning av en kompleksdannende forbindelse, foretrukket en poly- eller multidentat kompleksdannende forbindelse, tilstrekke- lig til å kompleksere med, ekstrahere og fjerne en del av oksidene av metallet eller metallene.. Katalysatoren blir aktivert ved reduksjon, passende ved kontakt med hydrogen. I aktiveringen eller reaktiveringen av en deaktivert kata- lysator blir katalysatoren først behandlet med den kompleksdannende forbindelsen for å ekstrahere en del av oksidene av metallet eller metallene, og katalysatoren blir deretter redusert. I begge tilfeller har den aktiverte el- ler reaktiverte katalysatoren høy aktivitet eller høy C5+- selektivitet eller både høy aktivitet og C5+-selektivitet for å utføre karbonmonoksidhydrogeneringsreaksjoner. Pro- sessens produktivitet blir økt.
