Abstract

A toilet cover assembly comprising a toilet seat (1) and a toilet cover (2) and at least one hinge assembly (3) for pivotally connecting the toilet cover (2) with a toilet bowl (5) about a horizontal axis of rotation (4).The hinge assembly (3) comprises a hinge member (6,7) secured to the rearmost portion of the seat (1) and to the rearmost portion of the cover (2),respectively, and at least one bowl hinge member (8) defining the axis of rotation (4) jointly with the seat hinge member (6) and the cover hinge member (7). The bowl hinge member (8) is adapted to be connected to the toilet bowl (5).The seat hinge member (6) and the cover hinge member (7),respectively, are connected to the seat (1) and the cover (2), respectively, by means of a screw connection. The screw connection comprises a projecting threaded pin (13,24) and a threaded hole (14,25) corresponding thereto. The pitch of the threaded connection is at least equal to the diameter of the threaded connection.
