Abstract

Foreliggende oppfinnelse angår en epoksymodifisert polysiloxansammensetning som kan fremstilles ved kombinering av de følgende ingrediensene; -en polysiloxan med formel (1), hvor hver R1 uavhengig er valgt fra gruppen omfattende hydroksy-, alkyl-, aryl- og alkoksyradikaler som har opp til seks karbonatomer. Hver R2 er uavhengig valgt blant gruppen omfattende hydrogen, alkyl- og arylradikaler som har opp til seks karbonatomer, og, hvor n er valgt slik at molekylvekten for polysiloxanet er i området fra 400 til 10,000; hvor R1 I R2-O-[-Si-0-]n-R2 (1) I R1 -en epoksyresin som har mer enn en 1,2-epoksygruppe per molekyl med en epoksyekvivalentvekt i området fra 100 til omkring 5,000; og en aminoherderkomponent som har aktive hydrogener som er i stand til å reagere med epoksygrupper i epoksyresinen for å danne polymerer inneholdende hydroksylgrupper, som er i stand til å reagere med silanolgruppene i hydrolysert polysiloxan for å danne et polymernettverk, hvor epoksykjedepolymerene og polysiloxanpolymerene polymeriserer for å danne en herdet epoxymodifisert polysiloxan polymersammensetning.
