Abstract

Foreliggende oppfinnelse er rettet mot en olje-fii vann-oppløselig, polymerdispersjon for anvendelse i tykning av vandige medier, særlig komplettering og overhalingsfluider som anvendt innenfor olje og gass boreområdet. Dispersjonene i foreliggende oppfinnelse er omfattet av hydroksyetyl cellulose og propylenglykolderivater. Disse dispersjonene innbefatter eventuelt vann. På grunn av deres lave toksisitet, er disse dispersjonene særlig egnet for boring i offshore miljøer. Disse sammensetningene dispergeres raskt i og viskosifiserer tallrike saltoppløsninger, inkludert saltvann og andre lette saltoppløsninger, med minimumskjær og uten fiskeøye-dannelse.
