Abstract

Et apparat (10) for analyse av et materiale i partikkelform. Apparatet (10) omfatter et vertikalt. langstrakt hus (12) som har en åpen øvre ende (26) og et begrenset utløp ved den nedre ende. En sonde (28) fører lys mot et transparent deksel (22) tilveiebrakt i en vegg av huset (12), og samler lys som er reflektert fra partikkelmaterialet i huset (12). En sleideventil (24), som omfatter en U-formet seksjon (30) og en T-formet seksjon (34) med et hull (32) derimellom, stenger partielt utløpet av huset (12). Bevegelse av sleideventilen (24) ved hjelp av en knapp (56),. stang (36) og skruefjær (44) sørger for justering av strømningsraten av materialet gjennom apparatet (10) så vel som for frigjøring av blokkeringer som kan forekomme ved utløpet av apparatet (10).
