Abstract

Fremgangsmåte og et system for anordning av multicasting i et kommunikasjonsnettverk som omfatter en første kilde (K) og en mottaker (M) som er tilkoblet kilden (K) ved SSM-protokollen (Kildespesifikk multicasting ("Source Specific Multicasting")). I fremgangsmåten i samsvar med oppfinnelsen, sender den første kilden (K) en melding om aktiviteten til kilden til mottaker (M). Oppfinnelsen muliggjøre detektering av flere kilder på SSM-kanalen ved bruk av kildeaktiv melding i samsvar med MSDP-protokollen (kildedetekterings-protokollen ("Multicasting Source Discovery Protocol")).
