Abstract
Det er tilveiebrakt en optisk repeater som inkluderer minst fire optiske forsterkere som hver tilfører optisk forsterkning til et optisk signal som beveger seg i en forskjellig enveisoptisk fiber, hvilke samlet danner minst to toveis par av optiske fibere. Et annet kombinatorarrangement kombinerer pumpeenergien fra den annen flerhet av pumpekilder og fordeler den til de optiske forsterkere som tilfører forsterkning til optiske signaler som beveger seg i den tredje og den fjerde optiske fiber.
