En kanal (3) er tilveiebragt gjennom det lydabsorberende laget (2). Luft strømmer langsmed kanalen (3). Lyddemperen innbefatter separate endestykker (4) som utgjør endene av lyddemperen og fra hvilke lyddemperen kan koples til ventilasjonskanalen.
