Abstract

Oppfinnelsen vedrører katodesystemer for elektrolyttisk fremstilling av aluminium, nevnte katodesystem er oppdelt i minst to deler med forskjellige elektriske resistanser, i retning av den langsgående aksen derav på siden av strømtilførselen fra katoden, på en slik måte at den elektriske resistansen fra endene av kollektoren (2) til delen av kantområdet av katoden som vender mot kollektoren er lik minst 1,2 ganger den elektriske resistansen fra enden av kollektoren til delen av midten av katoden som vender mot kollektoren, enten ved at kontaktmaterialet eller kollektoren er oppdelt i områder (13, 14) med forskjellige resistanser. Oppfinnelsen vedrører også fremgangsmåter for fremstilling av nevnte katodesystemer og for anvendelse av det samme for elektrolyttisk fremstilling av aluminium.
