Abstract
For å øke signal/støyforholdet for seismiske data og deres behandling, blant annet via presentasjonen av traser samles disse traser i grupper og fordeles over flere frekvensbånd. Den effekt de representerer samt effekten i de nyttesignaler og den støy som ligger bak estimeres for hvert frekvensbånd, og det maksimalt tillatte signal/støyforhold estimeres likeledes. Deretter beregnes vektfaktorer som funksjon av den inverse støyeffekt eller rms-verdien. Amplitudene i samtlige traser omformes ved bruk av en tilpasningsfunksjon som bygger på de estimerte vektfaktorer, hvor det inngår parametere som er tilpasset digital signalbehandling og kan endres for å passe til bestemte støykarakteristika så som koherens, inkoherens, fordeling over frekvensbåndet etc. Dette kan anvendes over mange forskjellige koordinatsystemer å benytte iterasjonsprosesser for forming av støyfordelingen av de seismiske data.
