Abstract
Oppfinnelsen vedrører gruve- og mineralbehandlingsindustrien. Særlig vedrører oppfinnelsen en løsning som muliggjør bruk av tiourea. Oppfinnelsen refererer seg særskilt til en prosess for tilveiebringelse av en løsning som øker gull- og sølvuttrekkingen fra mineraler og andre materialer som måtte inneholde gull og sølv, med bedring av stabiliteten til tiourea i utvaskingsløsningen, mens på den annen side muliggjøres en direkte elektrogjenvinning av de nevnte metaller fra den nevnte løsning. Oppfinnelsen innbefatter bruk av en utvaskingsløsning som på forhånd eller samtidig utsettes for en styrt elektrooksidering for derved å tilveiebringe formamidin-disulfid (FADS) som vil virke som et oksideringsmiddel for de mineralfaser som inneholder gull og sølv. I en foretrukket utførelse foreligger FADS i en mengde på 10-30 % av den totale tioureamengde i løsningen, og elektroavsettingen av metallene gjennomføres i den samme cellen (katoderommet) hvor FADS tilveiebringes (anoderommet).
