Abstract
Den foreliggende oppfinnelsen vedrører en fremgangsmåte og innretning for å tilveiebringe kodede videodata fra et videosignal. Fremgangsmåten omfatter trinnene å tilveiebringe intrakodede bildedata og prediktivkodede bildedata, basert på videosignalet, å generere en første og andre ramme med nevnte kodede videodata. I genereringstrinnet for det intrakodede bildet er data arrangert i første og andre slisser i henholdsvis de første og andre rammer. Slissene er anordnet på overlappende måte i rammene, fordelaktig med en vertikal overlapping (my) som er lik eller større enn en maksimal absolutt lengde for en vertikal bevegelsesvektor. Oppfinnelsen vedrører også en korresponderende dekodingsfremgangsmåte og innretning, så vel som en korresponderende videokoder, en videodekoder og en video-kodek. Oppfinnelsen kan implementeres og anvendes i samsvar med standardspesifikasjoner slik som H.264. Oppfinnelsen medfører økt nettverksjevnhet, samt forbedret robusthet og redusert feilpropagering under transmisjon.
