Abstract

For å kunne korrelere informasjon om en kjerneprøve tatt fra et borehull med informasjon som er utledet fra en original posisjon for kjerneprøven i borehullet, blir kjernen skannet ved å anvende elektronisk tomografi (CT) for å generere kjerneskiver som har første dybder tildelelig dertil basert på en boreregistrering. Kjerneskivene blir konvertert til første bulktetthetsdata ved å anvende enten interesseområdestatistikk eller selektiv histogramstatistikk, som deretter blir sammenlignet med andre bulktetthetsdata som oppnås fra logging ved respektive andre dybder for å oppnå en god avstemming mellom de første og andre dybdene.
