Fremgangsmåte og anordning for å anbringe en borerigg ( 1 ) for petroleumsutvinning på havbunnen ( 2 ), hvor fremgangsmåten omfatter å: - anbringe et basehus ( 30 ) for utblåsingssikkerhetsventiler ( 24 ) på havbunnen ( 2 ); - anbringe et mellomhus ( 32 ) på basehuset (30) hvor mellomhuset ( 32 ) omfatter boreutstyr og hvor mellomhuset ( 32 ) er utformet til å kunne motta støttefunksjonshus ( 40 ); - anbringe et borehus ( 44 ) på mellomhuset ( 32 ) hvor borehuset ( 44 ) omfatter rørhåndteringsutstyr og løfteutstyr; og - kople støttefunksjonshus ( 40 ) til mellomhuset ( 32 ).
