Abstract

En prosess for anvendelse i likevekts eksoterme gassfasereaksjoner som omfatter trinnene (a) tilveiebringe en returstrøm med tilsats av tilleggsgass (make-up gas) for å danne fødegasstrømmen; (b) varme opp fødegasstrømmen; (c) passere den oppvarmede fødegasstrømmen til en første reaktor som inneholder en katalysator for de eksoterme gassfasereaksjonene ved betingelser som er egnet for reaksjonen; (d) fjerne en produktstrøm som omfatter produktet og ureagerte gasser fra den første reaktoren; (e) kjøle og delvis kondensere produktstrømmen for å danne en gassfase og en væskefase; (f) separere væskefasen som inneholder det ønskede produktet fra produktstrømmen og fjerne den gitte væskefasen; (g) separere gassfasen fra produktstrømmen for å danne en gasstrøm; (h) valgfritt blande gasstrømmen fra produktstrømmen med ekstra tilleggsgass; (i) varme opp gasstrømmen; (j) passere den oppvarmede gasstrømmen til en sluttreaktor som inneholder en katalysator for de eksoterme gassfasereaksjonene ved betingelser som er egnet for reaksjonen; (k) fjerne en sluttproduktsstrøm som omfatter produktet og ureagerte gasser fra sluttreaktoren; (l) kjøle og delvis kondensere sluttproduktstrømmen for å danne en sluttgassfase og en sluttvæskefase; (m) separere sluttvæskefasen som inneholder det ønskede produktet fra sluttproduktstrømmen og fjerne den gitte sluttvæskefasen; og (n) separere gassfasen fra sluttproduktstrømmen og gjenvinne gassen til trinn (a); og der gasstrømmen fra trinn (g) blir komprimert før oppvarmingen i trinn (i).
