Abstract

Et vandig, viskoelastisk behandlingsfluid geldannet med tverrbundet guar eller guarderivat er stabilisert og forbedret med en effektiv mengde av en glykol, som f.eks. etylenglykol. Disse fluider er mer stabile ved at viskositet opprettholdes, spesielt ved forhøyede temperaturer. Tilsetningsstoffene kan også øke viskositeten til det punkt hvor mindre av tverrbundet guar eller guarderivat geldannende middel er nødvendig for å opprettholde en gitt viskositet. Disse stabiliserte, forbedrede, vandige viskoelastiske fluider kan anvendes som behandlingsfluider for undergrunnshydrokarbonformasjoner, f.eks. i hydraulisk frakturering.
