Abstract
Oppfinnelsen vedrører en fremgangsmåte (og et tilsvarende system) for dannelse av en sylinderolje, hvilken fremgangsmåte innbefatter modifisering av minst et initielt fluid (1 0 1) ved å bestemme TBN(ene) til det minst ene initielle fluidet, bestemme en ønsket TBN for en sylinderolje (1 02) og justere TBN(ene) til det minst ene initielle fluidet (1 0 1) tilsvarende ved å blande det minst ene initielle fluidet (1 0 1) med egnet/egnede tilsetning(er) (103). På denne måten oppnås en fremgangsmåte (og system) for modifisering av et eller flere initielle fluider for å danne en sylinderolje ved 'a justere TBN. Dette tilveiebringer vesentlig økonomiske fordeler siden smøremidler som man eller ville måtte kvitte seg med kan bli brukt på nytt som et totaltapssylindersmøremiddel. Vider må ikke ytterligere sylinderolje kjøpes inn. Oljen(e) benyttet for å blande sylinderoljen er av mer konsistent kvalitet ettersom den er etterfylt i motsetning til tradisjonell praksis, noe som reduserer maskinslitasje, etc. Etterfyllingen av det minst ene initielle fluidet tilveiebringer således forbedret og konsistent ytelse av de initielle fluider som resulterer i svært redusert komponentslitasje og utstyrslevetidskostnad. En mer miljøvennlig fremgangsmåte/system blir videre tilveiebrakt siden avfall, i form av brukt(e) olje(r) som blir avhendet etter forlenget bruk, blir redusert ettersom den blir omdannet til en sylinderolje.
