Abstract

Den foreliggende oppfinnelse vedrører en fremgangsmåte og et korresponderende system for reduksjon av brennstofforbruket og miljøpåvirkningen i en totaktsmotor. Fremgangsmåten innbefatter trinnene å oppnå systemolje/konsumerbar systemolje (301') fra minst én motor (300), tilsette (102) minst én friksjonsmodifikator (101) til minst en del av den oppnådde systemolje/konsumerbare systemolje (301'), hvor tilsetningen av den minst ene friksjonsmodifikatoren (101) reduserer friksjonskoeffisienten til den oppnådde systemoljen/konsumerbare systemoljen (301') som fører til en systemolje/konsumerbar systemolje med reduser friksjon (301"), å tilføre systemoljen/den konsumerbare systemoljen med redusert friksjon (301") til den minst ene motoren (300). På denne måten blir friksjonstap forårsaket av forurensning av systemoljen/den konsumerbare systemoljen unngått eller minimalisert, som normalt finner sted når oljen blir benyttet, og som ellers ville forårsake en kontinuerlig reduksjon av motorvirkningsgraden som fører til et øket brennstofforbruk og økede utslipp. I tillegg vedrører den foreliggende oppfinnelse en fremgangsmåte et korresponderende system for å omdanne systemolje/konsumerbar systemolje til sylinderolje. Til slutt vedrører den foreliggende oppfinnelse en fremgangsmåte for bruk av en konsumerbar systemolje når den blir omdannet til sylinderolje. Dette tillater videre den konsumerbare systemoljen å inneholde en tilsetningspakke med lavere ytelse og/eller lavere tilsetningsbehandlingsrate. Det oppnås således store økonomiske besparelser og miljøforbedringer.
