Abstract
Det beskrives en fremgangsmåte for regulering av en metanolkarbonyleringsprosess for fremstilling av eddiksyre. Fremgangsmåten innbefatter trinnene: overvåking av hastigheten med hvilken eddiksyren produseres; reduksjon av produksjonshastigheten i respons til en endring i en prosessbetingelse eller en prosessutstyrsbetingelse; regulering, etter at produksjonshastigheten er blitt redusert, av prosessen ved den reduserte produksjonshastighet; og økning av produksjonshastigheten etter at nevnte endring i betingelsene er blitt tatt fatt i, inntil i det minste produksjonshastigheten er vendt tilbake til et normalt driftsområde; hvor man under minst ett av trinnene for reduksjon av produksjonshastigheten, regulering av prosessen ved den reduserte produksjonshastighet, og økning av produksjonshastigheten inntil denne bringes tilbake til et normalt driftsområde, regulerer prosessen ved ikke-lineær, multivariabel regulering basert på en modell av prosessen. Det beskrives også en fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av eddiksyre, ved hvilken i det minste en reaksjonsseksjon av prosessen reguleres ved bruk av en multivariabel, ikke-lineær, prediktiv regulator basert på en ikke-lineær modell av prosessen. Reguleringen av prosessen er basert på den samme modell under normale operasjoner, under betingelser med prosessforstyrrelser og også under en gjenopprettingsperiode etter tiltak mot forstyrrelsen.
