Abstract
En fremgangsmåte for kartlegging av resistivitetskontraster i undergrunnen omfatter å ta flerkanals, elektrisk transientmålinger ved minst en elektrisk kilde med jordinngangselektroder eller en magnetisk kilde med strøm i en eller flere ledningssløyfer, og minst en elektrisk eller magnetisk feltmottaker, å måle den resulterende jordrespons samtidig ved hver mottaker ved å benytte et kjent registreringssystem, å måle systemresponsen ved å måle direkte strømmen i ledningen ved kilden under bruk av omtrent samme registreringssystem, å bruke den målte systemresponsen til å avdekke impulsrespons til undergrunnen fra hver målt jordrespons, og fra disse impulsresponsene å frembringe en undergrunnsrepresentasjon av resistivitetskontraster.A method for mapping resistivity contrasts in the subsurface comprises taking multi-channel, electrical transient measurements at at least one electrical source with ground input electrodes or a magnetic source of current in one or more wiring loops, and at least one electric or magnetic field receiver, simultaneously measuring the resulting ground response receiving a known recording system, measuring the system response by directly measuring the current in the line at the source using about the same recording system, using the measured system response to detect the impulse response to the subsurface from each measured ground response, and from these impulse responses to generate a subsurface representation of resistivity contrasts.
