Abstract

Et opphengningssystem for en livbåt omfatter et par kroksammenstillinger (22) som hver er tilpasset for tilkopling på avstandsliggende steder til en livbåt og for tilkopling til løfteledd (14) av et par opphengningskabler. Hver kroksammenstilling har et krokelementet (34) svingmontert for føring mellom en lukket innstilling (fig. 4) og en åpen innstilling (fig. 5) og er av en konstruksjon med last-over senter. En enkelt styremekanisme (23) er tilveiebrakt for begge kroksammenstillinger og er forbundet dertil av et par fleksible kabler (24, 25). En hovedfrigjøringsmekanisme (26, 67, 68, 61) er anordnet for å trekke kablene og således bevege krokelementene til deres åpne innstilling når livbåten flyter. Under nødtilfeller nar kroksammenstillingene er tungt lastet, blir en nødfrigjøringsmekanisme (28, 75, 72, 57) anordnet for å bevege kroke'lementene (34) til deres åpne innstilling, uansett den relative store last. Nødfrigjøringsmekanismen har en betydelig større mekanisk fordel sammenliknet med den primære frigjøringsmekanisme. (Fig. 4-5)
