Abstract

Et system (10) for sporing av en gjenstand i rom for posisjon innbefatter en transponderinnretning (12) som kan koples til gjenstanden. Transponderinnretningen (12) har en eller flere transponderantenner (20) og en transponderkrets (21) koplet til transponderantennen (20) for mottak av et RY-signal gjennom transponderantennen (20). Transponderinnretningen (12) legger til en kjent forsinkelse til RF-signalene for dermed å produsere en RF-respons for utsendelse igjennom transponderantennen (20). En sender (42) er koplet til en første antenne (43) for utsendelse av RF-signalet igjennom en første antenne (43). En mottaker (42) er koplet til en første, en andre og tredje antenner (43, 44, 45) for mottak av RF-responsen til transponderinnretningen (12) derigjennom. En posisjonskalkulator (46) er tilknyttet senderen (42) og mottakeren (42) for beregning av en posisjon for gjenstanden som en funksjon av den kjente forsinkelsen og tidsperioden mellom utsendelsen av R-F-signalet og mottaket av RI-responsen fra de første, andre og tredje antenner (43, 44, 45). En fremgangsmåte er også tilveiebragt.
