En eksplosjonssikker kontaktforbindelse (1) omfatter en pluggdel (2) og en kontakthylsedel (3). Pluggdelen (2) innbefatter et plugghus (4) med minst to pluggpinner (6) anordnet i en plugginnsats (5) mens kontakthylsedelen (3) oppviser et kontakthylsehus (7) med motsvarende innstikkhylser (9) anordnet i en hylseinnsats (8). For å forenkle en slik kontaktforbindelse slik at den lettere kan håndteres særlig ved atskillelse av pluggdelen og kontakthylsedelen under opprettholdelse av eksplosjonssikringen, er ett hus (4, 7) utstyrt med en ytterhylse (10) som løsbart kan forbindes med andre hus (7, 4), en første spalte (11) er dannet mellom ytterhylsen (10) og andre hus (7, 4) mens en andre spalte (12) er utformet mellom ytterhylsen (10) og den tilhørende innsats (4, 8) allerede før opprettelse av elektrisk kontakt mellom pluggpinnene (6) og innstikkhylsene (9) for derved å realisere den påantenningsbeskyttende måte trykkfaste innkapsling d, henholdsvis økede sikkerhet e.
