Abstract
En fremgangsmåte for å bygge to (eller flere) halvt nedsenkbare rigger samtidig i et skipsverft og fullt ut sette sammen riggene sekvensielt ved skipsverftet. To øvre skrog til separate rigger blir bygget side om side på land ved siden av en tørrdokk, der de nedre skrogene blir bygget. Det første øvre skroget blir så slisket i langsgående retning til en posisjon over det første nedre skroget. Det nedre skroget flytes opp ved å fylle tørrdokken med vann, og posisjonen til det nedre skroget justeres ved anvendelse av ballasttanker på det nedre skroget. Når det øvre skroget og det nedre skroget er linjeført, blir de permanent sveiset sammen, og med det fullføres sammenstillingen av den første riggen i tørrdokken. Samtidig blir det andre øvre skroget slisket på tvers til utføringsposisjonen, og så jekket opp til den nødvendige høyden. Den hviler på sliskefagverket etter at fagverket har blitt trukket tilbake fra sammenstillingsstedet for den første riggen. Utførings- og sammenstillingsoperasjonen blir så gjentatt for å sette sammen den andre halvt nedsenkbare riggen i tørrdokken.
