Abstract
Oppfinnelsen angår en fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av en kledningstynnplateartikkel som har superplastiske egenskaper, og den resulterende kledningstynnplateartikkelen. Fremgangsmåten omfatter fremstilling av et kledningslag oppå minst en valseflate av en kjerneblokk laget av et metall som har superplastiske egenskaper, fortrinnsvis ved samstøping, for å danne en kledningsblokk og deretter valsing av kledningsblokken til å fremstille en tynnplateartikkel. Kjerneblokken omfatter et grunnstoff som diffunderer fra et indre av blokken til en overflate ved superplastiske formingstemperaturer som derved svekker overflateegenskaper av blokken. Kledningslaget er tilført et grunnstoff (dopemiddel) som reagerer med grunnstoffet av kjernen til å redusere grunnstoffets evne til å diffundere gjennom kledningslaget.
