Det superledende tynnfilmmateriale (10) er bygget opp med et substrat (11), et mellomlag (12) med ett eller minst to enkeltlag og formet på substratet (11), og et superledende lag (13) fonnet på mellomlaget (12). Mellomlagets (12) tykkelse er ikke mindre enn 0,4 µm, og materialet for å danne dette lag er fortrinnsvis et oksid hvis krystallstruktur minst er én av typene: halitt, fluoritt, perovskitt, pyroklor.
