Abstract

Oppfinnelsen vedrører en fremgangsmåte for impregnering av porøse objekter innbefattende følgende trinn i) - v): i) påføre et injeksjonslag av et materiale innbefattende akryl, epoksy eller polyuretan på overflaten av minst en del av det porøse objektet og la minst en del av materialet trenge inn i porsene i objektet ved bruk av underatmosfærisk eller overatmosfærisk trykk; ii) la det porøse objektet gå tilbake til en atmosfære ved normalt trykk; iii) eventuelt i det minste delvis la injeksjonslaget herde; iv) påføre et topplag av akryl, epoksy eller polyuretan på området av det porøse objektet som er impregnert med injeksjonslaget; v) la topplaget herde; hvorved injeksjonslaget påført i trinn i) og/eller topplaget påført i trinn iv) innbefatter pulverisert glass med en partikkelstørrelse på 0 nm til 100 µm. Oppfinnelsen vedrører også porøse objekter erholdt i henhold til denne fremgangsmåten. De impregnerte objektene oppviser stor styrke og motstand mot slitasje av mekanisk, kjemisk, termisk og/eller biologisk natur.
