Abstract

The clamping elements (1, 2) are detachably connected by means of tensioning bolts (6). Each clamping member (1, 2) includes a respective number of supporting members (12, 22) connected to respective housing sections (10, 20). Each housing section (10, 20) is designed for connection around a circumferential segment of the tubular member, and will, in use, together enclose an outer peripheral surface of a portion of the tubular member. The supporting members (12, 22) of each clamping member (1, 2) are arranged side by side in the longitudinal direction of the tubular member.
