Abstract
Ifølge den foreliggende oppfinnelse kan flere parametrisk kodede audiosignaler bli effektivt kombinert ved å bruke en audiosignalgenerator (100) som genererer et audioutgangssignal (120) ved å kombinere nedblandingskanalene (110a, 112 a) og de forbundne parametere (110b, 112b) av audiosignalene direkte innenfor parameterdomenet, det vil si uten å rekonstruere eller dekode de enkelte audioinngangssignaler forut for fremstillingen av audioutgangssignalet (120). Dette blir oppnådd ved direkte blanding av de forbundne nedblandingskanaler (110a, 112a) av de enkelte inngangssignaler. Det er en nøkkelegenskap av den foreliggende oppfinnelse at kombinasjonen av nedblandingskanalene (110a, 112a) blir oppnådd ved enkle beregningsmessig billige aritmetiske operasjoner.
