Abstract
Fremgangsmåte og system for bestemmelse av posisjonen til marine seismikksprednings-komponenter beskrives. En fremgangsmåte innbefatter eksponering av en marin undervannsseismikkspredningskomponent mot en optisk innretning, og beregning av geometrien til spredningskomponenten ved hjelp av i det minste noen av de data som oppnås med den optiske innretningen, eksempelvis den tiden et optisk signal bruker for å gå til i og fra ett eller flere spredningselementer i spredningskomponenten.
