Abstract

Oppfinnelsen angår en fremgangsmåte for radial ekspandering av et rørelement som strekker seg inn i et borehull anordnet i en jordformasjon. Fremgangsmåten omfatter å bevirke at veggen av rørelementet bøyes radialt utover og i aksialt motsatt retning for å danne en ekspandert rørseksjon som strekker seg rundt en gjenværende rørseksjon av rørelementet, der bøyningen skjer i en bøyningssone av rørelementet. Fremgangsmåten omfatter videre å øke lengden av den ekspanderte rørseksjon ved å bevirke at bøyningssonen beveges i aksial retning i forhold til den gjenværende rørseksjon. Veggen omfatter et materiale som blir plastisk deformert i bøyningssonen under bøyningsprosessen, slik at den ekspanderte rørseksjon beholder en ekspandert form som resultat av den plastiske deformering.
