Abstract
En syklonseparator for separering av fluider omfatter et innløpskammer (6) med midler for å foranledige at fluider som strømmer gjennom kammeret virvler rundt en akse, et syklonseparasjonskammer (10) koplet for å motta fluider fra innløpskammeret og et utløpskammer (8) koplet for å motta fluider fra syklonseparasjonskammeret. Utløpskammeret (8) har et tangentialt utløp (22) for forholdsvis tunge fluider og et aksialt utløp (24) for mindre tunge fluider. Separasjonskammeret er langstrakt og har en lengde L og en innløpsdiameter D, der L/D er i området 1 til 10.
